RAIN SHELTER
RAIN SHELTER

RAIN SHELTER

Client: East Devon District Council

One of two shelters we built as part of the Queen’s Drive Space project on Exmouth seafront. The roof is made from stretched PVC and beneath it are a series of standing and sitting benches made from treated timber and pallet wood. The deck features a hand painted compass design and all the surrounding seats are recycled from old pallets.

LIQUID AMBER PLAY SHELTER

LIQUID AMBER PLAY SHELTER

Client: RHS Wisley

Inspired by the seed pod of the neighbouring Liquid Amber trees, this shelter with its spiky roof was constructed from windfall timber from Wisley. Overlooking the play area, this bespoke shelter was created for adults with bench seats along the outside edge and a long swing seat in the centre.

TIGER TERRITORY ENTRANCE STRUCTURE

TIGER TERRITORY ENTRANCE STRUCTURE

Client: ZSL Regents Park Zoo The spire of this amazing structure is 8m high, inspired by Sumatran architecture for the Sumatran Tiger exhibit. The FSC timbers were treated with a dark finish to give the effect of tropical hardwood.

The design is inspired by the tigers with 4 carved feet and tiger stripe timbers along the sides. The face of the tiger on the front is painted direct to flax linen, linseed resin coated for protection and backlit for effect. The picnic shelters are smaller versions of the entrance structure.
